Now you can grow longer, fuller, darker lashes. It’s not an illusion. It’s your own eyelashes—only better.
Not enough lashes? Ask your doctor if LATISSE® is right for you.
LATISSE® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% is the first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for inadequate or not enough eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker. It’s a once-a-day treatment that works gradually and effectively. You apply the solution topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Then, results start to show in as little as 8 weeks, with full results in 16 weeks.
The science behind LATISSE®.
LATISSE® makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is unknown, LATISSE® is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase, and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
It’s a product whose time has come.
In 2001, Allergan developed a medicated eye drop used to lower eye pressure (known as IOP or intraocular pressure) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. As a result, patients using this medication began experiencing eyelash growth as a side effect. This led Allergan, already a pioneer in eye care, dermatological and aesthetic products, to begin studying its active ingredient. After a clinical trial, LATISSE® earned its FDA approval in December 2008. And since then, approximately 1.5 million bottles of LATISSE® have been prescribed to approximately 350,000 people.

Dr. Dan’s CortiBalm
Chapped lips hurt. Your lipbalm shouldn’t. Finally there’s CortiBalm – the only true solution for all types of mild to severe chapped lips.
CortiBalm: A Miracle in a Little Tube
After treating literally thousands of patients with mild to severe chapped lips, Dr. Dan Viders developed the only truly hypoallergenic medicated lip balm with 1% hydrocortisone – CortiBalm. This lip balm is perfect for acne and psoriasis patients currently taking Accutane, Amnesteen or Soriatane. It is also great for chapped or irritated lips caused by exposure to the sun, wind, cold weather or a reaction from cosmetics. Over one million tubes sold!
The following is a true story.
I am a board certified Dermatologist in Central Massachusetts. I started my Dermatology studies in 1989 at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to my undergraduate studies (Bio-Chemistry) and Medical school, I always loved chemistry, even playing with my toy chemistry kit as a child.
As a skin doctor I have treated thousands of patients with severe chapped lips due to a variety of causes, including as a side effect of the anti-acne drug Isotretinoin (commonly known as Accutane). One day a patient on Isotretinoin came to see me. She was suffering with painfully chapped lips and had tried multiple greasy prescription ointments, creams, and lip balms to no effect. Out of desperation I recommended an “organic” natural lip balm; after using it, she returned a day later with giant swollen lips and almost had to be admitted to the hospital! She got better with high doses of oral steroids, but I was taken aback. I set out to solve this problem, that afflicted so many, once and for all.
The eureka moment.
I hit the books in August 1998. Turns out, nearly all lip balms have chemicals that make chapped lips worse. This was the eureka moment, the turning point and the epiphany that set the stage. Realizing this, I set out to develop a chemical-free lip balm, and started mixing late at night like the proverbial mad scientist. I also knew from my training that a little Cortisone could go a long way towards soothing the inflammation of severe chapped lips. After trying for years, and experiencing a few close calls – figuring out the chemistry of Hydrocortisone in hot wax was scary to say the least – I finally hit upon the perfect combination ofnatural yellow bee’s wax, mineral oil, petroleum jelly and Hydrocortisone.
At first the U.S. Patent Office was skeptical of this simple yet eloquent formula; but after trying a sample, the grateful, former-sufferer-of-chapped-lips patent examiner granted me U.S. Patent # 6,228,351 in May 2001. The name CortiBalm came to me from above, and the rest is history. I started giving away samples to my colleagues, patients, selling online, and currently we are moving into the retail market due to popular demand.
But wait! The story doesn’t end here. Unfortunately, impostors – bad ones at that – have sprung up, but my hard work and research continue. We at Dr. Dan’s will soon have a chemical-free lip sunscreen, anti-itch stick, and a fantastic hand lotion for sale online. We continue to be grateful to our loyal customers and Doctors who recommend our products, and will always give free samples to all who ask.
